Nestled on the eastern slopes of Volimes village, this hillside villa has a stunning infinity pool that looks over the most serene views of the Ionian Sea. The modern yet minimalist design certainly makes the most of the surrounding landscape – local materials are used to enhance the natural feel, and huge floor-to-ceiling windows never stop drinking in the views. Dominating the ground floor is the huge poolside terrace. Complete with sun beds, Jacuzzi, outdoor lounge areas and an outdoor dining table, there’s plenty of space to soak up the sun – or to just flop by the pool and take in the surroundings. Head inside from the terrace and a large open-plan living room welcomes you into a space of simple luxuries; decorated in a soothing palette of grey and white, this contemporary room includes sofas and a fireplace and leads into an open-plan dining area and mod con-rich kitchen. The four well-appointed bedrooms can be found on the ground and first floors, and on the lower level of the villa in an annex. Each one has an en suite bathroom and large private balcony – but for maximum indulgence, the master bedroom and annex both also include a private outdoor Jacuzzi. If you want to head out of the villa, you’re within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Agios Nikolaos and Volimes village. Further out, Katastari is a 7km drive away, or it’s a 30km drive to Zakynthos town.
