Description
Villa Etoile is one of six very spacious and comfortable fully staffed private villas set in private gardens within the grounds of a small and very special hotel, set in a river valley, sheltered from the desert winds. All the villas are set in beautiful lush gardens and their décor showcases the richly coloured exotic fabrics and distinctive tiles that Morocco is well known for. The bedrooms are flexibly furnished and can be made up as either double or twin and are of a consistent size, with air conditioning and either a bath or shower room en suite. The spacious living rooms catch the cooling breezes, and open on to a broad terrace, with al fresco sitting and dining areas, each with a beautiful large pool with Moroccan tiling. All bedrooms on the ground floor at Villa Etoile open out to the extensive lawned gardens or terrace and one of the ground floor bedrooms has two additional beds. The master bedroom on the first floor opens to a terrace and has a domed ceiling with star pattern. Breakfast is included and for other meals, guests can choose to be independent, shop locally and self-cater, ask the villa staff to prepare meals, or choose dishes from the villa food menu or wine list or dine a la carte at the noted hotel restaurant where barbecues are held on Sundays. Guests can also use the hotel bar and enjoy beauty and wellness treatments in the spa that this special hotel offers. The hotel staff will be pleased to advise on local activities such as surfing and can organise car hire or transfers to explore local beaches and restaurants. There is also a shuttle service to the centre of Essaouira.
Essaouira is a delightful 18th century seaside town, formerly known as Mogador. The old town is enclosed by fortified walls, with distinctive white and blue houses alongside a series of wide sandy beaches backed by sand dunes and it is a popular destination for windsurfing. The town’s main square is filled with cafes and meandering walkways lead to the souk (market) excellent for buying jewellery and spices, and the town is also noted for beautifully crafted woodwork made from thuya, a mahogany-like hardwood. Also worth visiting is the harbour and watching the wooden fishing boats bringing in their day’s catch and the fish restaurants are highly recommended.
We are delighted to introduce these properties to CV clients who we are sure will enjoy the flexible catering that these villa offer, enjoy the facilities at this special hotel and explore this interesting location.
