In a prime position at the water’s edge, Palm Point is a magnificent beachfront retreat set among swaying palms, pristine sands and the Caribbean sea. A four-poster day bed takes pride of place on the beach, while the private pool and Jacuzzi enjoy splendid sea views. Inside the villa is spacious, decorated in elegant island style, with contemporary furnishings; two central open-plan living areas with ample comfortable seating leading to a fabulous terraces for outdoor dining with sea views. A vast and very well-equipped kitchen has an island breakfast bar area is where a chef (available on request) can prepare three meals a day, to be served wherever guests choose to dine. In the main villa there are six beautifully appointed double bedrooms – and most open out to the gardens. The main bedroom in the main villa is set in one corner of the villa with two other bedrooms opening to the pool and two more opening to the beach side of the villa. A sixth bedroom overlooks the gardens. The master bedroom located within a circular gazebo raised above the sea is quite the showstopper nonetheless. The en suite bathroom has double sinks and a freestanding copper bath, while the icing on the cake is the panoramic terrace, furnished with smart loungers and hammocks, not forgetting the 360 degree endless sea views.
The villa has its own paddleboards and kayaks for guest use and a complimentary boat trip is offered to guests for stays of seven or more nights. Located on its own peninsula, Palm Point is within walking distance of the Jolly Harbour marina. The daily buzz is around boats – with fishing and charter trips. Some nearby itinerary ideas to tempt you: A round of golf on the 18 hole championship golf course at the Jolly Harbour Golf Club, one of the Caribbean’s premier golfing venues, private catamaran tours to take in the stunning coastline. Visit from July to October to catch a glimpse of the local turtle populations. Hire bicycles to cycle around the island. There are tennis and squash courts for the more active. Driftwood Beach is just south of the harbour, with pristine sands and calm water, or for something quieter, Darkwood Beach is five minutes south of the marina and is an excellent spot for snorkelling.
