Description
Sympathetically restored to retain its three centuries of character, and unobtrusively updated with the contemporary facilities, this lovely old house and guesthouse nestle amid two acres of picturesque gardens and grounds. Palms, flowering shrubs and numerous types of fruit and citrus trees fill its garden terraces, whilst it also has its own olive grove, from which organic olive oil is made most years. A stroll through the tiered garden reveals a picnic table in a sunny spot, a classic stone fountain, a pergola cloaked in bougainvillea and, privately positioned just below the main house the pretty guesthouse and oval swimming pool. There is a shower and thatched shade at the poolside with sundowner seating and millstone tables, rustic benches with beautiful rural and sea views that stretch right down the coast to Corfu Town. Inside the villa there are two Jacuzzi bathrooms and three charming bedrooms, each with air conditioning; a country kitchen is fitted with quality appliances; and the beamed sitting room has big sofas, a wood-burning stove and wall mounted TV, and opens on to a large covered dining and seating area.
The guesthouse has air conditioning and comprises a lovely open plan sitting room, kitchen area and washroom downstairs. Upstairs, two bedrooms, one a kingsize with four poster bed and a small double bedroom (suitable for one adult or two children) share a bathroom.
