Description
Set in extensive grounds of olive groves in south Eastern Sicily, this modern villa, decorated in bright summer colours, is laid out around a panoramic open-air central terrace. Designed by a noted architect, some of the architectural elements are drawn from environmental considerations such as the cooling towers that bring air into the villa and one part of the villa is a self-contained guest annexe.
The main entrance opens into a large L shaped open plan sunshine yellow kitchen with dining area. A couple of steps down lead to the master double bedroom that is separated by a large walk in wardrobe from a double/twin bedroom. This area of the villa has its own private exit to the central terrace as well as opening to the gardens so guests have their own access, without going through the central living areas. On the left side, there is access to the dining and sitting area decorated in blue with splashes of red and yellow opening to the large terrace. From here, a couple of steps lead up to a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which share a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. On its own is the flexible self-contained annexe, with a kitchenette, a double and twin bedroom. The living areas open to the central terrace whilst the bedrooms retain their privacy by looking out to the gardens and landscape beyond. A double and a twin room have been placed in each section of the villa to suit families or friends travelling together. The pool is set on a lower level to the house with magnificent sea views and the terrace area by the infinity pool is furnished with an outdoor kitchenette to prepare delicious light lunches. A particular feature of the pool is the shaded pergola area over one section of the pool area, conceived with small children in mind. There is also a barbecue area with built in barbecue and lights scattered in the trees.
If you can tear yourselves away from this lovely property, the villa is also in an enviable position for visiting both the baroque towns of the Noto Valley, such as Modica, Ragusa and Noto, and there area a choice of restaurants in the countryside and sandy beaches and a restaurant within a short drive in the Vendicari Nature Reserve.
