The villa’s ground floor has a new stylish kitchen with modern appliances, and a large and lovely living room, from which doors lead out to the covered terraces and the gardens. Upstairs there are three bedrooms – the master double bedroom with super king size bed, shower room en suite and private balcony and two twin bedrooms sharing a family bathroom. With thick walls, the villa is naturally cool but each of the three bedrooms (with new box spring beds) has air – conditioning and all windows have mosquito nets. The villa is equipped with modern facilities including a 41” Sony Smart TV with Chromecast and Netflix. Table tennis, badminton and board games provide competitive entertainment; pre-bookable cook service could encourage effortless idling. The villa sits in grounds of 4,100 square meters encompassing a flat garden, an orchard, a meadow with olive trees. The private pool is set in gardens above the villa with wonderful views over the valley with the Lake d’Alviano (a noted WWF reserve) and Monte Cimino clearly visible. By the pool are 6 sunbeds and umbrellas and in the wooden shed by the pool there is a fridge and toys.
The villa is set between the medieval villages of Baschi and Montecchio. Baschi has all local amenities including supermarket, further food shops and chemist and restaurants and a weekly market. Further shopping, large supermarket and fast train service to Florence and Rome can be found at Orvieto Scalo. Some of central Italy’s most picturesque hill towns, Orvieto, Todi, Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Spello, Montefalco are within very easy reach and the lakes of Trasimeno and Bolsena are within easy driving distance. Other noted centres of Tuscany including Pienza and Montalcino, but also Montepulciano, Arezzo, Cortona and Siena are also within reach.
