Description
Casale La Sabina has been tastefully decorated, and a great deal of attention has been devoted to ensuring the finishings and furnishings are in keeping with the style of the building. The property features stunning wooden beams and shutters, as well as a stufa economica, a classic wood fire stove which can be used for cooking. The kitchen is well equipped and also has a hob and oven. Outside there is a Kamado barbecue and guests are welcome to use the Italian kitchen garden. The kitchen has a large wooden table, perfect for family dinners, and the cosy living room has a wood burning stove. There’s a small library as well as a shaded terrace, both the perfect respite from the Italian sun, or you can enjoy exploring the orchard and gardens, or take a dip in the private pool. On the first floor there is an en suite master bedroom with extensive views from the balcony, as well as two further bedrooms and a bathroom. The enchanting portico has magnificent views of the rolling countryside surrounding the property and will provide the perfect setting for al fresco meals.
The Sabine Hills are an untouched pocket of central Italy with excellent inexpensive restaurants and great walking. Our view is that this is a most attractive, comfortable and private retreat suitable for those who would like to explore this authentic corner of Italy, yet be within easy access of sightseeing and first class shopping in Rome, easily accessible by train for day trips or an evening out.
