Description
This hillside hideaway is a fabulous retreat for four in the quieter Kördere area of lovely Kalkan. It’s a short drive from the town and Kalkan’s white pebble beach, and suits both couples and smaller families thanks to its generous one-level layout. This stone built villa’s main tour de force is the generous infinity pool that overlooks a perfect panorama of mountain, sea and bay views. The bright blue tiles add an instant warmth to the setting, which comes furnished with in-pool loungers and a selection of seating around the pool deck outside. Beside a little lawn and pint-sized palm trees, there’s plenty of space for a sunbathe – siesta times are also perfectly catered to with a more shaded spot and relaxing rattan sofas. The al fresco dining table, complete with a built-in barbecue, is the perfect setting for the warm, summer evenings here.
The contemporary exterior continues inside, with a sleek and modern décor the main focus of the villa’s spacious living areas. Expect open plan and a high standard of furnishings; the lounge area is both large and cosy, with huge glass doors that maximise the ocean views, while the grey-hued kitchen corner includes a breakfast bar and all the essentials you’d need for a homely stay. Both bedrooms follow the same modern style, decorated with vibrant colours, quirky lighting and bespoke wooden touches. The twin bedroom both overlooks and leads out to the dining terrace, and has a generous marbled shower room for extra privacy. The larger double bedroom includes an in-room Jacuzzi tub and a larger walk-in shower for more indulgence – it also has access to the pool deck, too, by heading through the adjacent indoor pool room. Heated during the cooler months, this is a great treat for an out-of-season visit, and there’s a private sauna and hammam room, too.
